An Austrian-American actor, filmmaker, businessman, author, and former politician and professional bodybuilder, Arnold Schwarzenegger has his own history for the list of women.
Schwarzenegger continued his remarkable story, marrying into the Kennedy family in 1986 by tying the knot with Maria Owings Shriver, daughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and her husband R. Sargent Shriver. Schwarzenegger and Shriver have four children: Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher.
The very public affair he had with his housekeeper that ultimately ended his 25 years of marriage to estranged wife Maria Shriver.
Schwarzenegger had fathered a son more than 14 years earlier with an employee in their household, Mildred Patricia “Patty” Baena.
“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement issued to The Times.
“I don’t need any time to reflect when I know it was a major, major screw up,” Schwarzenegger said.
In 2015, he told Howard Stern: “I had personal setbacks, but this was, without any doubt, the biggest setback and the biggest failure. Without any doubt. Not only failure, but you feel like, ‘I’m to blame for it. It was me that screwed up.’ And you can’t point the finger at anyone else. So yeah, I was disappointed in it. It’s always easy to be smart in hindsight. The thing was how do you make the best of that situation?”
Baena’s son with Arnold, Joseph, was born on October 2, 1997, and Shriver gave birth to Christopher a few days before on September 27, 1997. Schwarzenegger says it took seven or eight years before he found out that he had fathered a child with his housekeeper. Schwarzenegger has taken financial responsibility for the child “from the start and continued to provide support”.
