An American football free safety for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League, Earl Winty Thomas III was born May 7, 1989 Orange, Texas. He played for the West Orange-Stark Mustangs during his high school, West Orange-Stark High School. During 2007 to 2009 Thomas attended University of Texas at Austin. He played for Coach Mack Brown‘s Texas Longhorns football team.
Thomas’s mother overcame a dire medical diagnosis prior to his birth which is why she refers her son as ‘miracle son’. In 1987, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer leading to not being able to give birth. After multiple tests, she realized she didn’t have cancer in her body and gave birth to Thomas in following year.
In September of 2005 Hurricane Rita passed through Thomas’ hometown of Orange, Tx. The Thomas family home was destroyed. They moved into a Super 8 hotel along with his grandparents who had a room down the hall. They shifted to a mobile home and Thomas helped his parents buy a new home.
The famous player has a deep interest in music. In college at Texas, Thomas played jazz piano with a band called Bad Bones. He can also play drums, organ, and saxophone. During his freshman year in high school, he would change from his football uniform into his band uniform to perform at halftime, and then change back into his football uniform for the second half.
“It was kind of embarrassing,” Thomas said. “We were a small school, so there were maybe 30-35 people in the band. I’d take off my shoulder pads and helmet and march in my cleats.”
His alleged affair
On May 6, 2020, it was reported by TMZ that on April 13, Thomas was allegedly held at gunpoint by his wife Nina after finding him and his brother, Seth Thomas, in bed with other women. Nina’s arrest was reported the following day. According to court documents obtained by the outlet, police say Nina discovered that Earl, whom she married in 2016, was with another woman via his Snapchat account.
